Summary
Lidl US is searching for the next Manager to join our Orga Projects team! The Orga Manager develops and manages standard operational processes and data governance policies within the department. This role leads and develops a team of Analysts and Administrative Assistants, ensuring the team consistently meets weekly deadlines, KPIs, and operational objectives. Additionally, the Manager supervises multiple projects, system implementations, and ongoing departmental tasks while liaising with executive leadership, directors, and cross-functional business partners to drive key decisions.
What You’ll Do
Essential Functions
- Effectively delegate, guide, and manage the performance of team members (Analysts and Administrative Assistants) in accordance with company principles and management models
- Implement and manage assigned programs, processes, and initiatives through effective delegation and stakeholder collaboration
- Lead and oversee Category Group Analysis (WGA) support topics, including data compilation, process adherence, tasks assigned by Lidl International, and final documentation review
- Ensure team members actively join and participate in all Category Group Analysis (WGA) walkthroughs to accurately record agreed-upon changes
- Oversee the end-to-end processing of supplier charges, deductions, rebates, infractions, and invoice price discrepancies in coordination with Purchasing and Accounting
- Oversee data maintenance, data entry, and data integrity across internal systems, Google Workspace, and departmental tools
- Lead the development, compilation, and presentation of comprehensive, data-driven reports and KPIs for senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Design, map, document, and implement process improvements, workflows, and status meetings across the team
- Ensure training materials, user manuals, handbooks, workflows, and project plans are accurately created and maintained by the team
- Oversee system issue reporting and technical resolution with applicable departments, internal teams, and external service providers
- Analyze and evaluate current processes and projects to recommend optimizations and continuous improvements
- Ensure all team members comply with legal regulations, internal company guidelines, and internationally specified processes
- Supervise concept planning, implementation, and testing of systems and applications
- Understand high-level data impacts, identify risks or operational issues, and proactively communicate recommendations to upper management
- Manage workload distribution, task prioritization, and organizing to ensure team completion within strict deadlines and KPIs
- Facilitate communication of broader company goals, projects, and status updates among team members and department leadership
- Approve invoices, timesheets, leave requests, and expense forms in a timely manner
- Evaluate and analyze potential external service providers and manage vendor relationships as required
- Additional ad-hoc tasks may be assigned by the Line Manager to meet operational needs
What You’ll Need
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in Google Workspace or related software
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and take ownership of tasks to ensure accuracy and completion within deadlines
- Comfortable and professional when interacting with all levels of staff, including senior leadership
- Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt to changing workloads and conflicting priorities
- Extensive knowledge of department responsibilities and processes
- Excellent management, leadership, and supervisory skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-optimization skills
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Intermediate to advanced German language skills to help in liaising with German HQ and translating German documents and systems
- Familiarity with process documentation software, project management tools, and Salesforce
Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of experience in a related field
- In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
Physical Job Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment, including the store(s), distribution center(s), warehouse(s), and/or corporate office(s) with the capability to switch job functions/roles quickly
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) more than half the time
- Ability to maneuver cases of product (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) up to 30 lbs
- Ability to spend more than half the time viewing computer monitors
Travel Requirements
- The position requires up 10% travel
