Summary

Are you ready to shape the future of retail operations and make shopping faster and simpler for millions of customers? Lidl US is looking for a dynamic Sales Systems & Solutions Consultant to lead the strategic planning, implementation, and optimization of our front-end store technologies.

In this role, you will serve as the critical bridge between International Headquarters, IT specialists, and the operational reality of our store floor. You are a natural connector who can translate data and feedback into a seamless store experience, ensuring that our entire checkout area - including both traditional manned registers and self-checkout systems - along with our Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) systems run flawlessly.

What You’ll Do

Essential Functions

  • Project Leadership: Drive the end-to-end rollout, testing, and optimization of core store technologies across the entire checkout zone (both regular manned registers and self-checkout) and Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL). Monitor timelines, budgets, and operational quality. Including presenting to senior leadership.
  • The Perfect Customer & Store Journey: Look at store systems through the eyes of both our customers and store teams. Translate frontend data, feedback, and system performance into concrete improvements that increase adoption and operational efficiency.
  • Process Optimization (ESL & Front-End): Oversee the integration of ESL systems and checkout solutions to ensure real-time pricing accuracy, seamless inventory management support, and reduced manual workload for store associates.
  • Stakeholder Management: Align cross-functional departments (from IT and Procurement to Regional Operations). Act as a strategic liaison to ensure tech initiatives support broader business objectives.
  • International Collaboration: Partner with global colleagues to share best practices, implement international standards, and test innovative market pilots.

What You’ll Need

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within a fast-paced retail or commercial environment. Experience with store automation, front-end systems, checkout optimization, or digital store solutions (like ESL) is highly preferred. (PMP Certification is a plus).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Technology, or a related discipline.
  • The "Bridge" mindset: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels - translating complex IT into practical store solutions.
  • Analytical & proactive: Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to turning raw performance data into actionable store improvements.
  • Autonomy & organization: A natural organizer who keeps a helicopter view and thrives in a high-growth, dynamic environment. While you will join a highly collaborative and supportive team, you must be self-driven, capable of working independently, and skilled at managing your own priorities.

Physical Job Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Travel Requirements

  • This position commutes between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers up to 30% of the time
