Summary
The Warehouse Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance and repair within the warehouse facility, ensuring a safe and efficient operational environment. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems, equipment, and preventative maintenance practices. The Warehouse Maintenance Manager leads and develops their team to efficiently carry out all relevant maintenance, repair, and controlling work. The Warehouse Maintenance Manager is the main point of contact for warehouse related vendors and ensures that vendors perform as per the Company’s requirements. This role reports to the Regional Senior Facilities Manager.
What You’ll Do
Essential Functions

Effectively delegate and guide the work of other team members in accordance with Company principles and management model

Implement and manage assigned programs, processes and initiatives through effective delegation and collaboration with stakeholders

Analyze and evaluate current processes and projects for recommended optimization

Create and oversee preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring all equipment and facilities are regularly inspected and serviced.

Control and allocate resources effectively, ensuring cost-effective maintenance practices while prioritizing critical repairs.

Lead, train, and motivate a team of technicians, ensuring they have the skills and resources to perform their duties efficiently.

Diagnose and resolve complex equipment malfunctions, minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.

Manage external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, upgrades, and installations.

Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with relevant regulations.

Manage inventory levels of essential parts and supplies, ensuring timely availability for repairs and maintenance.

Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption through efficient equipment operation and facility upgrades.

Create and maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and spare parts usage.

Work closely with warehouse operations to minimize disruptions during maintenance activities and ensure smooth workflow.

Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Continuously research and implement innovative technologies, techniques, and best practices in warehouse maintenance.

Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Review and approve all invoices relating to maintenance work conducted in the warehouse including in-house technicians.

Develop and implement emergency response plans for equipment failures, natural disasters, and other unforeseen events.

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

Bachelor’s degree

3-5 years of experience in a related field

In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above

General understanding of warehouse maintenance topics including MHE and building maintenance
Physical Job Requirements

Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment, including the store(s), distribution center(s), warehouse(s), and/or corporate office(s) with the capability to switch job functions/roles quickly.

Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) more than half the time.

Ability to maneuver cases of product (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) up to 30 lbs.

Ability to operate machinery and/or equipment that requires the constant use of hands/fingers/wrists.

Ability to spend more than half the time viewing computer monitors.

Ability to identify and distinguish between colors more than half the time.
Travel Requirements

This position requires overnight domestic travel up to 10% of the time.

Anticipated travel will be by car, air, and/or train.
