Summary
Joining our dedicated Quality Assurance team, you will act as a vital pillar of support for the Quality Assurance Manager in supervising daily operations and managing our QA team. In this role, you will take ownership of product excellence across the Furniture, Bathroom, Decoration & Beauty, and Home Textile categories, ensuring every item fully complies with international industry standards and regulations.
You will provide essential operational support, acting as a reliable link between our suppliers and our cross-functional teams to support thousands of Lidl and Kaufland stores globally. This role is based in our brand-new, premium, eco-friendly office at Airside, Kai Tak.
Main Objectives:

Support the QA Manager in supervising and handling the QA team on all related matters.

Validate that work is performed accurately, analyse errors and resolve problems

Assist the progress of facilitating daily operations and supervise the Quality Assurance team

Ensure products comply with industry standards and regulations

This position is responsible for the categories of Furniture, Bathroom, Decoration & Beauty and Home textile items.
What you'll do
-
Organize the sub-teams’ structure & drive the operation to support teams' strategy and cultivate corporate culture and routine
-
Oversee sample review, testing and inspection and being responsible for their quality and approval
-
Responsible for ensuring correct follow up by Senior Quality Consultants in relation to test failure analysis and recommendations to factory by the team

Escalate to superior on the critical issues related to projects to ensure projects continue to progress in a timely manner

Manage and approve shipment release in a timely manner in absence of the superior

Reinforce, with the lead of the superior, the workflow guidelines to clarify roles & responsibilities and enhance collaboration with all related parties and ensure effective execution

Monitor the daily roles of QA staff on behalf of Manager, advise of any weaknesses and areas of improvement

Assessment of staff capabilities and progress

Liaise on issues and product requirements related to the 3rd party laboratory testing of related product groups with management summaries for the superior

Liaise on issues and product improvements prior to mass production with the Merchandising Team of the related product group.

Maintain a positive communication culture with all stakeholders and act solution oriented

Travel is required for this role
What you'll need
-
Minimum of 4 - 5 years of work experience in a Quality Assurance position
-
Experience in 3rd party testing laboratory with Retailer exposure or experience in trading or sourcing offices required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Master's degree or equivalent of an advantage in field of Engineering, Science or related disciplines

Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin required, German of an advantage

Strong understanding of laboratory and inspection reports

Adequate interpretation and comprehension of legal documents

Strong sense of quality processes

Knowledge of work flow of a trading, buying or sourcing office

Good understanding of hardgoods mass production manufacturing procedures

Deep knowledge of EU and US retail market

Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace with advanced Excel/Sheets and Power Point/Slides skills required
