Summary

Lidl & Kaufland Asia are hiring a Merchandiser in our Housewares team. The successful candidate will be responsible for below tasks,

  • Monitor the whole order process from end to end.

  • Responsible for item in price and quality.

  • Negotiation with suppliers to achieve the best possible price per item, in the department mar-gin targets as defined by headquarters.

  • Be accountable for business measurability. This includes profitability, delivery performance and quality of the articles.

What you'll do

•    Main contact point to the factories to coordinate the end-to-end process.

•    Define right price and quality per item and generate best value for money for our cus-tomer.

•    Contribute to the evaluation and monitor the factories for continuous improvement and business development.

•    Work closely with the product development team on development and support the follow up on the sampling process.

•    Manage quotations, price analysis and price negotiations with suppliers within the nego-tiation parameters set by headquarters.

•    Help to manage the order allocation process within the department strategy and the set framework from headquarters.

•    Monitors the end-to-end process and critical path management within the merchandising team and through day-to-day liaison with supply chain and supporting departments.

•    Manage the ordering progress and provide problem solving wherever necessary.

What you'll need

  • Tertiary level education.

  • Merchandising experience.

  • Technical (material) and process know how for the relevant categories.

  • Good command of written and spoken English & Mandarin, additional languages would be beneficial.

  • Strong negotiator with a commercial mindset.

  • Proactively anticipate issues and provide problem solving wherever necessary.

  • Works well under pressure, effectively handles conflict and demonstrates flexibility in work style to accommodate changing priorities and fixed deadlines.

  • Problem solving skills, with the ability to seek advice when required.

  • Proficient in MS Office (specifically Excel and Power Point).

  • Willing to travel as required.
