Objectives
Build up teams that are aligned with the Lidl & Kaufland objectives to achieve a high level of performance in quality and deliveries that help achieve the growth targets of Schwarz Group.
What will you do?
- Ensure all production occurs in line with Lidl’s strict Ethical Sourcing Policies
- Ensure programs & policies are in place to provide the safest working environment attainable
- Ensure factories have the relevant resource to own and lead quality standards.
- Ensure the factory walk through, inspection checklist, defect classification list, and inspection and production SOP plans are well implemented across all factories.
- Ensure right QC allocation at factory based on skills, follow up QC activities and making weekly QC work schedule’s
- Ensure PP Meeting is conducted in line with supplier FOB date lead time for all IAN’s.
- Ensure manufacturing technical support and establish procedures to improve bulk production quality.
- Notify key stakeholders of any major or critical production and quality issues identified whilst in factory and follow up and close off outstanding CAP’s with supplier.
- Deliver factory and order updates to HK Production Support in the format required and in a timely manner
- Execute order follow up from HK Production Support in a timely manner
- Drive continuous improvement, simplification and efficiencies of the QC process.
- Benchmarking Supplier’s quality data to achieve optimum performance from factory and QC teams.
- Coordinate with Fabric and Production team to take necessary decision to maintain on time delivery with right quality.
- Follow up on Factory CAP on any kind of failure like (EUG comments, 30% Fit fail, DE comments, 100% PSI comments)
- Ensure all re-inspections occur ASAP when a failed result occurs by our QC or 3rd party. Facilitate re-assessment inspection when QC’s findings are over the border line AQL.
- Arrange and attend weekly/biweekly quality meeting for follow up on issues raised during previous weeks
What you'll need
- Degree or above in textile or related discipline
- At least 10 years’ experience in sizable company in Europe garment market with at least 5 years’ experience in assistant managerial level
- Team player able to build relationships, networks and establish credibility at all levels in the organization
- In depth technical knowledge in garment/ textile
- Solid experience in greater Asia manufacturing landscape
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Computer literate
- Frequent travel to factories
