Objectives
Drive the most cost effective, quality controlled, on time production through key building blocks like Kick off meeting, Pre - Production meetings, Production schedule, CAPs, QC inspection program.
What you will do
- Ensure all production occurs in line with Lidl’s strict Ethical Sourcing Policies.
- Ensure programs & policies are in place to provide the safest working environment attainable
- Ensure to coordinate with QA/Merchandiser to attend PPM for any high risk IAN or a new factory and host PPM if require by manager.
- Ensure PP meeting agreements / notes are detailed and accurate to ensure production quality is consistent across entire production.
- Coordinate with supervisor to review and establish factory and supplier processes to ensure that they are following established production and inspection procedures. Make sure to use the up-to-date specification from Cbx for HG, TX and get the latest one from PSE for NF.
- Ensure all incoming materials have confirmed specifications including a visual and measurement test conducted by the factory and rejected and returned unacceptable materials.
- Ensure all necessary inspection tools/equipment are in place to enable accurate inspection of all items
- Ensure initial bulk production run and every subsequent inline inspection matches sealed sample.
- Inspect all manufactured products/parts for production compliance, and to check whether goods are fit for purpose using the Lidl Inline / Dupro / Pre Final/Final Inspection protocols included in but not limited to conducting visual, functional, fit for use, safety, measurement tests, and where necessary, documenting products for improvement.
- Ensure packaging and Shipping mark approval is well maintained in each & every selection.
- Visit and conduct necessary inspections to Tier 2/3/4 facilities when required
- Perform unannounced audits and inspections when requested.
- Immediately advise CSR operational team/manager regarding compliance issues identified
- Ensure to follow up and close off outstanding CAP’s with supplier on site.
- Ensure inspection report/supervision report and other reports released on time per procedure with the latest form.
- Ensure to follow and consult with manager to achieve KPI target by L&K quality requirement.
- Upload documents and download documents for use from Cbx per IAN in charge included in but not limited to HG, TX, NF.
- Other ad. Hoc project will be assigned by line manager.
What you'll need
- University degree in Technology major or comparable qualification
- You've already gained 2-6 years professional experience in a Hardgoods/Consumer goods (Leisure, Decoration/Accessories, Household, electrical goods, power tools, re-chargable batteries) fields, preferably international retailer experience or in a comparable position
- Have sound knowledge of the testing requirements for EU and USA for the above products
- Not essential but to have basic knowledge of wooden furniture, garden tools, hand tools, camping equipment. Also Textile and Shoes experience is desired
- You're flexible, resilient and you think in conceptual ways
- You're a team player, but can also work on own initiatvies, always looking for solutions and see problems as a challenge to solve
- You have an autonomous mindset and like to travel
- You have a very strong comprehension for processes in a production business
- You are structured, pragmatic and work very accurately, fast and thoroughly
- You are able to work under high pressure
- You're proud of strong and business fluent English skills additional languages are a plus
- You have a strong routine in working with MS Office and have a real interest in working with different databases and like to work with numbers
