Summary
Lead the business in the execution of Lidl Int. framework agreements (Sustainable Purchasing Policy / Ecovadis), Lidl HK supply chain compliance policies, projects and work improvement programs across our offices and supply chain.
What you'll do
- Ensures all Factory engagement occurs in line with Lidl’s strict Ethical Sourcing Policies
- Ensure programs & policies are in place to support the safest and ethical working environment across our offices and factory base.
- Lead, develop and oversee the corporate ‘Ecovadis’ assessment defines by LINT and development policies and programs that improves Lidl Asia’s position as a more responsible employer of choice.
- In line with Ecovadis requirements collaborate with Corporate Counsels, HR departments Facilities Management to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations across offices and Supply Chain.
- Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
- Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
- Assess the business’s future ventures (new products, materials) to identify possible Supply Chain risks including conducting Human Risk Impact Assessment where necessary.
- Develop clear protocols and follow up actions related to grievances cases identified in our Supply Chain
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in CSR control
- Investigate Zero Tolerance and Critical Non-Compliance breaches identified across our Supply Chain
- Prepare reports for Senior Management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
- Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that CSR procedures are followed.
- Assess opportunities, risks and trends in current and new sourcing countries and contribute to timely updates of Country Profiles
- Establish and build relationships with governing bodies, NGO’s and industry associations to further the goals and the transparency of the Lidl Compliance Program
What you'll need
- Proven experience as Compliance Manager
- In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
- A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality
- Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
- An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
- Excellent communication skills with a good command of English both verbally and written a must
- BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or related field
- Certified compliance professional is a plus
