Summary

As a Senior Strategic Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives and decision-making processes within the organization. You will be responsible for analyzing data, developing concepts, and providing valuable insights to the Senior Manager Strategy & Consulting to facilitate strategic planning and business growth.

What you'll do

  • Support the Senior Manager Strategy & Consulting on the strategic planning process across the business in alignment with our organisation’s vision and mission.
  • Conduct research and analyse relevant data to support strategic initiatives and decision-making processes, identify trends, opportunities and risks that impact the organization's strategic goals.
  • Play a vital role in providing solutions to critical business issues and decisions, strengthening feasibility studies and business cases, whilst also driving your own portfolio of initiatives.  
  • Develop and maintain strategic frameworks, models, and tools to guide analysis and decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies that may impact the organization's strategic direction.
  • Perform competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify industry trends and best practices.
  • Provide support in ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Monitor and consolidate the updates on the agreed action items, risks and issues recorded from different forums and channels.
  • Prepare and present reports, presentations, and recommendations to corporate development team, senior management, and key stakeholders.
     

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 4+ years of working experience in consulting (advisory/strategy/research) or transformation areas including internal transformation experience.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to translate complex information into actionable recommendations.
  • Candidate with Lean Six Sigma or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience in one or more of the following areas: programme or project management, digital or operation transformation, operating model development, strategy and corporate development, business process re-engineering and business analysis
  • Exposure to retail sourcing industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, MS office suite, analytical tools, spreadsheets, and data visualization software.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and able to work independently and with proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.
