Summary

Lead the adoption and optimization of AI capabilities to empower business decision-making through rapid prototyping and solutioning. Reporting to the Senior Analytics Manager, this individual acts as a strategic partner to business stakeholders and IT teams, translating complex business needs into targeted Proofs of Concept (POCs), highly optimized Large Language Model (LLM) prompts, agentic workflows, and conversational AI logic. 

 

What you'll do

Prototyping, Prompt Engineering & Solutioning

  • Lead the rapid prototyping of AI solutions, building Proofs of Concept (POCs) to quickly validate business value before scaling to full production

  • Translate complex business requirements and natural language queries into precise, effective, and scalable LLM prompts that can be leveraged by business users in their workflows.

  • Architect, test, refine, and version-control prompts tailored for our default ecosystem (Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Databricks, and Gemini)

  • Design specialized prompts and system instructions for AI agents, enabling them to perform multi-step reasoning, tool-use, and autonomous task execution

  • Design context-aware prompts that effectively utilize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks to ground AI responses in proprietary business data

  • Evaluate prompt performance and underlying models, making iterative improvements to ensure high-quality, hallucination-free, and contextually accurate AI outputs

  • Deconstruct complex business problems into logical steps that an LLM can process and answer effectively

 

AI Integration & Reporting

  • Design and optimize the conversational logic, underlying prompts, and intent-recognition rules that power AI chat interfaces for our primary reporting tool, Enterprise Looker.

  • Drive partnerships with data engineers to ensure semantic layers, data definitions, and metadata are structured effectively for Gemini to query and interpret accurately

  • Facilitate feedback loops between end-users and technical teams to continuously refine and improve AI-driven reporting tools

  • Work closely with Data & AI engineers to ensure prompt engineering and prototyping efforts integrate smoothly with underlying data pipelines within GCP and Databricks

  • Partner with AI Engineers on RAG and agent orchestration implementations, providing expert feedback on retrieval quality, data chunking strategies, and semantic search effectiveness to optimize the context fed into the LLMs

 

Innovation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Act as a subject matter expert on prompt design, LLM behavior, and rapid AI solutioning, establishing best practices and creating centralized prompt libraries

  • Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging technologies in Generative AI and prompt engineering

  • Collaborate with the broader Analytics team to transfer knowledge, mentor junior team members, and upskill stakeholders on interacting effectively with AI tools

  • Conduct pilots with business teams to demonstrate functionality and add value of the AI models in practice. 

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field

  • 6+ years in AI/ML, Data Science, or NLP engineering, with a strong foundation in both Generative AI ( advanced prompt engineering, agent configuration) and traditional ML (regression, classification, clustering, time-series forecasting). 

  • Proven track record of rapidly prototyping and delivering GenAI or machine learning POCs that solve concrete business problems

  • Hands-on experience working within GCP and Google Workspace (GWS) environments is a plus

  • Deep expertise in crafting prompts for Google Gemini (knowledge of other major LLM families like OpenAI GPT or Anthropic Claude is a strong plus)

  • Familiarity with Looker Studio and experience building or integrating conversational AI/chatbots with BI dashboards

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical AI concepts and demonstrate POCs clearly to non-technical business stakeholders

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, self-motivated with a can-do attitude, and the capacity to own projects and solve problems autonomously

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment
