Summary
Objective of the position is to lead the credit check process and reviews of vendor credit worthiness and provide recommendations
What you'll do
Holder of the position is responsible for the following areas:
- Conduct credit risk analysis for new vendors as part of onboarding and existing vendors in annual reviews and for change in payment terms
- Analyse vendor financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflows), third party credit and due diligence reports, market/industry trends and assess risk for the organisation
- Escalate vendor, KYC risk and work with Compliance department to resolve
- Assign risk score based on analysis, present to business departments for understanding of vendor risk profile
- Lead the overall credit check process and complete within SLA
- Update credit ratings, documentation and approvals in system and central archives
- Report to upper management highlighting changes to credit risk in vendor pool
- Manage third party credit agencies ensuring SLA compliance
- Maintain SOP, train business departments on credit risk and process
- Lead improvement projects including process changes, risk modelling and system enhancements
What you'll need
- Degree holder, major in Business, Accounting & Finance or other related discipline
- Six or more years of relevant work experience preferably in sizable MNC
- Proficiency with financial statements, ratios and concepts
- Strong business acumen, analytical, inquisitive by nature and ability to solve problems
- Possess attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies with data
- Independent, proactive and well organised
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent English speaking and experience with working at all levels of organization
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel
