Summary
• Manage and lead the product development team including the overall design and product development process from initial concept through to sample creation in accordance with strategic planning and timelines.
• Establish a design and development strategy for the respective product categories.
• To develop and grow the product categories according to business targets.
• Convince and influence buyers to adopt new themes and products to increase turnover.
What you'll do
• Lead the product development team to develop new products and ideas.
• Drive categories turnover with Merchandising team through design and product development strategy, bringing in seasonal updates, new themes and new products.
• Research into new trends, innovations and new product ideas.
• Manage the design and development timelines and workflow to ensure critical deadlines are maintained and adhered to.
• Responsible for moodboard, artwork card creation, techpacks and product design briefings to both internal and external designers including 3D digital images/ CGI.
• Develop and select appropriate fabrics and trims in collaboration with Fabric team.
• Collaborate with merchandising and Quality to ensure product design and fitting is aligned for sample launch.
• Present seasonal trend and product presentations to stakeholders and leadership.
What you'll need
• Degree in product design, graphics design or related discipline.
• Extensive years of product development or design related experience in Fashion & lifestyle categories.
• Strong knowledge and experience in European retail market.
• Excellent eye for trend, a strong fashion sense, design talent and a creative mind.
• Cost benefit mindset.
• Team player with an interest to collaborate in a fast- paced workplace.
• Must be independent, proactive, and committed to working in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills
• Excellent English language skills.
• Willing to travel as required.
