Summary
The Project Specialist acts as the vital link between Headquarters (HQ) and local country organizations. You will drive the end-to-end execution of cross-functional initiatives, ensuring that HQ led projects are translated into local success. This role is responsible for maintaining operational excellence through central steering, process standardization, and hands-on support during project rollouts.
What you'll do
The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his / her superior:
Project Management
- Support projects from initial scoping and resource planning through to implementation and final handover
- Facilitate cross-functional project integration across key HQ departments (Concept & Services, Merchandising & Sourcing, etc.) to identify, map and mitigate complex inter-departmental dependencies
- Synthesizing complex project concepts into persuasive presentations that drive stakeholder consensus and formal approval
- Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate transparent communication, reporting frequency, ensuring high levels of engagement
Local Market Support & Central Steering
- Acting as lead for local offices to ensure full alignment with HQ led operational standards and strategic objectives.
- Identify operational challenges and provide solutions for roadblocks within local offices that require HQ support.
Reporting
- Develop and roll out a standardised, multi-regional KPI reporting framework to track key KPI’s and supplier development
What you'll need
• At least 4-5 years’ experience in new business development, project management preferably in the sourcing or retail industry in sizeable organization
• A firm understanding of the sourcing industry
• Prior experience in project management is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree holder
• Advanced Google Suite Skills, advance presentation skills. Knowledge of Tableau or other BI tools
• Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Self-motivated, analytical-mind and excellent problem-solving skills
• Independent, detail minded and self motivated with judgement and team collaboration skills
• Fluency in English is a must
