Summary
Lidl & Kaufland Asia are hiring a Sustainability Coordinator to join our sustainability product & packaging team. The successful candidate will be mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his/her superior:
• Assists in checking all components of the weight scales to ascertain all are in working order
• Use a weighing scale to assess incoming samples and its packaging
• Photograph and document packaging components
• Log information into a centralized database
What you'll do
• Responsible for maintaining a safe, organized and clean working environment
• Performs scale calibration and maintenance record
• Performs checks of samples to ensure that both sales and transport packag-ing are delivered
• Separates and classifies packaging materials accordingly
• Contributes to the identification of plastic packaging reduction opportunities
• Uses computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database software in performing work assignments
• Coordinate with warehouse responsible person for IN/OUT sample
Depending on operational requirements and business needs, the holder of this position might be tasked with additional projects upon request.
What you'll need
• Possession of a High School certificates or diploma, and one year of work experience
• Ability to keep simple records; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in Chinese / English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position
• Moderate computer proficiency, basic knowledge of excel preferred
• Experience in warehouse or in a laboratory environment
• Basic math skills
• Organized, attention to detail and the ability to work independently
• Mandarin, English or Cantonese speakers
• Can read English or Chinese working procedures and instructions
• Work location will be in Kwai Hing Warehouse
