We are looking for a detail-oriented and adaptive Technical Writer to join our team. The objectives of the position are:

Enhance user manual quality to match with the top-tier market benchmarks.

Increase customer satisfaction through effective and clear instructions.

Reduction in customer enquiries caused by unclear instructions.

Standardize the structure and sections of instruction manuals across our product lines to establish a consistent brand identity.

Adapt instruction manual to align with the most updated regulatory requirements

Improve the IM content to achieve better NGO / FFU score at Product testing
What you'll do
-
Create clear and professional instruction manuals for new products across SDA Kitchen, High-Tech, SDA Beauty, and Seasonal categories.

Standardize the layout, structure, and sections of all user instruction manuals to ensure a consistent corporate brand identity across these categories.

Analyze and benchmark manuals against top-tier market items and highly-rated products e.g. items with high Stiftung Warentest scores.

Write clear, user-friendly guides that help customers use products effectively, fully maximizing and highlighting product functions to improve customer satisfaction.

Monitor EU / US regulatory updates, such as the EU Empowering Consumers Directive, and promptly adapt manuals to maintain full compliance.

Coordinate instruction manual checking and communicate directly with external testing institutes, to align and verify manual content against all functional and safety requirements.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Merchandising team, to gather accurate product details.
What you'll need

3-5 years experience as a Technical Writer or related role, preferably in consumer electronics, home appliances industry.

A University degree or specialized training related to Instruction Manual Creation, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong ability to convert complex technical details into simple, easy-to-understand, and engaging instructions for consumers.

Excellent research and benchmarking skills, with a dedicated focus on detail, quality standards, and compliance frameworks.

Familiarity with European & US Regulations and Directives especially with the Standard IEC/IEEE 82079-1 is highly desirable.
