Objectives

Drive the most cost effective, quality controlled, on time production through key building blocks like kick off meetings, Pre - Production meetings, Production schedule, CAPs, QC inspection program.

What you'll do

The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his / her superior:

  • Ensure all production occurs in line with Lidl’s strict Ethical Sourcing Policies.
  • Ensure programs & policies are in place to provide the safest working environment attainable.
  • Guide & advise factory in sampling process to have the LIDL standard (If required).
  • Ensure all the guidelines/SOPs are well understood within the factory team.
  • Review all up-dated manual and supplementary guidelines whenever there is an update to align understanding of the requirement.
  • Conduct pre-production meetings with factories following Lidl SOP.
  • During PPM review all comments, confirmation, size set and pp sample against bulk size set to ensure no issue in bulk.
  • 1% sample pick up for special branded fiber products (e.g. Lensing Eco Vero etc.).
  • Conduct 10 pcs inline inspection throughout the production stages.
  • Arrange Care Label Wash test in different stages of production from initial to end of the production per IAN (PPM Size Set, 5%, 15% and 50% production stage)
  • Arrange DUPRO at 20%, 50% production stage and at 75% stage if order quantity is more than 500K.
  • Shipping Mark & export carton dimension check for correct & fitting of the product into export carton.
  • To check the packing materials conformity in the initial stage.
  • Pick up 8-week cartons and addressed to LDE as per LHK requirements.
  • Follow up on Factory CAP on any kind of failure (20% Fit fail, DE comments, 100% PSI comments)
  • Follow up 100% PSI and review if there’s issues.
  • Communicate daily basis Quality/Suppliers issues towards both internal & external concerns.

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Quality improvement project to minimize the defects rate.
  • Monitoring housekeeping of assigned factories.
  • Monitor Insect prevention policy & procedure and its implementation.
  • Monitor Product safety management systems.
  • Any other Special task assigned by the Authority.

What you'll need

  • BSc in textile engineering or equivalent from a UGC approved university with 5-8 years quality control and inspection experience.

  • Good knowledge on the Apparel and Hard Goods that includes plastic/tent/luggage materials, constructions & quality/customer requirements. Knowledge/experiences on Synthetic shoes will be an added advantage for this role.

  • Knowledge on Quality Management systems to solve daily basis production issues that might occur in production.

  • Independent, detail minded and self-motivated with great initiative.

  • Open to daily travel to suppliers in different locations. 

  • Proficiency in English and Bengali both spoken and written.
