Objectives of this position:

The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his/her superior:

  • Assess factories’ social, environmental, quality performance against Lidl Int. and LKASIA standards
  • Support factories in developing better performance through corrective action plans, trainings, on-site guidance

What you'll do

The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his/her superior:

Audits and investigations

  • Coordinate schedule for audit team in country according to factory selection by HK/SG RSCM team
  • Prepare audit prior to on-site visit according to planned schedule
  • Conduct on-site audit as per audit standard
  • Conduct investigations to assess grievances, whistleblower or media allegations
  • Conduct spot checks (e.g. subcontracting)
  • Compile audit or investigation reports
  • Prepare Corrective Action Plan after assessment and monitor factories’ improvement actions until all actions are closed
  • Review other auditors audit report to follow 4 eye principle

 

Training and programs

  • Proactively suggest improvements to factories to enhance their performance
  • Conduct online or on-site training to develop factories’ performance
  • Manage local initiatives (e.g. ACCORD/RSC, Better Work) and monitor compliance status

Other responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the wider RSCM team to ensure effectiveness and integrity of the audit and capacity building program
  • Monitor local media to keep abreast of potential compliance issues
  • Support follow up on any missing/soon expiring certificates
  • Support the wider sustainability team in implementing initiatives (e.g. Science based target initiative, packaging forms, recycled materials)
  • Depending on operational requirements and business needs, the holder of this position might be tasked with additional projects upon request.

What you'll need

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from UGC approved Univeristy 
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in social responsibility and compliance in large-scale organizations (brand or manufacturing level)
  • Must have BSCI/SA8000 or equivalent certification. ISO 9001 & ISO14000 experience is beneficial
  • Experience with manufacturing environment, auditing and remediation
  • Profound understanding on environment, health & safety regulations and international labour standard
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, able to interact with all levels
  • Organized, detail oriented and the ability to work independently
  • Highest degree of work ethics and integrity
  • Good command of local language and spoken & written English.
  • Willing to travel locally
