The Business Administration – Management Trainee Programme offers exceptionally driven, bi-lingual professionals and graduates a unique opportunity to complete a bespoke development programme that fits your qualifications, experience and career ambitions. Business Administration underpins our company’s success and with exposure to various essential business functions like Internal Audit, Legal & Compliance, Management Accounting and Finance & Accounting over an 18-month period, this development programme will enable you to acquire the essential skills required to fast track your managerial career.
What you'll do
Internal Audit:
Internal Audit ensure all areas of our business adhere to defined company processes & procedures. It assures that Lidl remain compliant and all potential business risks are protected against. You will conduct independent and objective assessments of Operational, Administrative, Commercial, Central Service & HR business functions. Internal Audit will accelerate your operational and business procedural knowledge while also establishing cross functional working relationships with senior stakeholders.
Legal & Compliance:
The Legal & Compliance department offer legal services and advice to the business. They support contract services, legislation impact reviews, data protection, anti-fraud / anti-corruption and competition law oversight for the entire business.
L&C also manage the investigation and defence of insurance incidents and claims. Engaging with an expert panel of external medical consultants and engineers, L&C are also responsible for mitigating business exposure to insurance costs.
Management Accounting:
Management Accounting play a pivotal role within the business. The controlling, analysis & planning of all core business financials & KPIs is the basis for informed strategic decision making. Business Reporting & Insights, Cost Management, Margin & Profitability Analysis are some of the core responsibilities of Management Accounting. Exposure to these functions during the programme supports your “big picture” mindset while also understanding how business performance is practically measured and controlled.
Finance & Accounting:
The Finance & Accounting Department is responsible for processing and managing the finances of the company. They control cash & treasury management, bank reconciliations, timely payments to creditors and collections from debtors. F&A prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, in line with Lidl accounting procedures.
