Our Head Office Logistics Department is seeking a confident, driven, and analytical individual to join our growing team. As a Logistics Project Manager, you will play a key role in providing project management, logistics consultancy, and strategic direction to the business.

The Logistics Project Manager drives the evolution of the Lidl IE/NI logistics function, focusing on scalable infrastructure and long-term operational success. We are seeking a numerically strong, technically minded individual who thrives in dynamic, multi-tasking environments. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the rollout of national and international projects and serve as a fundamental driver of our future business needs.

 

What you'll do

  • Support the senior project manager in systems and processes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional technical projects to integrate automation and enhance scalability, acting as the point of contact for proposals and improvements from RDCs, national departments, and Lidl Head Office.
  • Ensure proactive cross-departmental information flow and knowledge exchange.
  • Provide aftercare, support, and follow-up for new projects, optimising processes and conducting cost-benefit analysis.
  • Produce KPI assessments, project documents, and support tools for logistics cost management and presentations.
  • Continuously analyse, assure quality, and optimise logistics procedures, processes, concepts, and systems.
  • Develop practical solutions for standardising, simplifying, and digitalising current processes.
  • Plan, control, and monitor department-specific logistics projects, regularly reviewing their efficiency.
  • Adapt international specifications to country-specific circumstances.
  • Monitor the International Logistics communication platform and ensure compliance with ARIS processes, audits, and H&S initiatives.
  • Promote full buy-in and engagement from regional end users, fostering a culture of continuous knowledge sharing.

What you'll need

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage your workload and prioritise conflicting deadlines.
  • Continuously scouts emerging logistics technologies to drive process automation and system scalability.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Proactive and creative approach to logistics, considering the bigger picture and challenging processes.
  • Driven attitude to achieve results and project goals, quickly learning new ideas and concepts.
  • Confident in working with numbers and large data sets to conduct analysis and present findings.
  • Ability to project manage, take ownership of tasks, and support colleagues through change.
  • Great team spirit and cooperation with stakeholders nationally and internationally.
  • Existing knowledge and experience in logistics and warehousing preferred.
  • Third-level degree desirable.
  • Full driving license essential.
