We are looking for a creative Designer with up-to-date industry knowledge to work closely on internal design solutions with high visual impact. You will work on a variety of projects, including creative concepts, in-store signage, brochures and magazines, digital projects, exhibitions, and bespoke requests. You will work closely within our design team, while having experience dealing with multiple stakeholders.
We’re looking for someone who can take direction from written or spoken ideas and briefs, using your creativity to communicate key messages, working on your own initiative while promoting the Lidl brand to attract our target audiences. As a graphic designer you will work within the Marketing Team. You will support the delivery of the marketing plan and will be involved in the creative development of campaigns and design requirements as needed. You are responsible for existing material updates together with the design and creation of new design solutions. You will also ensure that all communications are created and produced in-line with our brand guidelines.
What you'll do
Digital & Social Media
- Design and development of best-in-class digital content and assets for Lidl Ireland and Northern Ireland.
- Manage content for the company website, app, and newsletter.
- Plan and produce social content on a weekly basis.
- Design animated digital display artwork and collaborate with the Digital Production Manager and agencies.
- Adapt and resize artwork across multiple platforms, ensuring all outputs meet performance expectations and brand guidelines.
- Conduct testing and design for the website, microsites, app, and newsletters
Print & In-Store Design
- Design creative collateral from a brief through concept to the finished product.
- Visualise and create mock-ups for in-store signage solutions and site installations.
- Undertake advertising and promotional design for online, print, and promotional products from concept to production-ready artwork.
- Manage proofing of design material prior to print and artwork approvals.
- Update and amend print materials including leaflets, brochures, and large-format assets.
Production & Collaboration
- Prepare accurate, press-ready files in line with print specifications.
- Work closely and proactively with internal departments to ensure alignment on all design requirements.
- Work closely with all external agencies, printers, and suppliers to ensure artwork is delivered on-time and to brief.
- Photo retouching and management of design assets to ensure consistency across all media.
- Support the delivery of the marketing plan and the creative development of campaigns.
What you'll need
- Third level qualification in Creative Design, Marketing or related discipline
- Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign), specifically with mock-ups, web design and multimedia presentation
- Proven industry experience in professional commercial design, preferably with a marketing or creative agency
- Adaptive design eye and skill
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to take and apply constructive criticism
