We are looking for a creative, organised and trend-led Social Media Coordinator to join our Social Media team. Working closely with the Social Media Manager, you’ll support the delivery of Lidl’s social media strategy across all channels. From creating engaging content and supporting campaign execution to analysing performance and identifying the latest social trends, you’ll play an important role in bringing our brand to life across social channels. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in social media who enjoys creating content, thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering results through data-driven insights.

 

What you'll do

 

  • Support the Social Media Manager in the day-to-day management of Lidl’s social media channels.
  • Create engaging photo and video content for social media, including filming, editing and confidently appearing on camera where required.
  • Support the planning, scheduling and publishing of content.
  • Write engaging copy in Lidl’s tone of voice to support campaigns, promotions and always-on content.
  • Monitor social trends and bring fresh content ideas to the team.
  • Assist in developing creative briefs for influencers and brand ambassadors, supporting campaign delivery.
  • Produce regular social media reports, analysing performance and identifying key insights to support future campaigns.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to deliver campaigns on time.
  • Support community management alongside the Customer Services team where required.
  • Assist with campaign administration, including purchase orders, invoice processing and reporting.
  • Support content shoots, campaign planning sessions and other ad hoc projects.

What you'll need

 

  • Over one year’s experience in a social media, digital marketing or content creation role.
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline is desirable.
  • A passion for creating engaging social-first content, with confidence filming and appearing on camera.
  • Strong copywriting skills and an understanding of adapting tone of voice across social platforms.
  • An interest in social media analytics and the ability to turn data into clear insights.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience using Google Workspace and social media scheduling tools is desirable.
