The EWM Key user will serve as a critical member of the RDC Logistics team, reporting directly to the RLD, and ensuring the continued success of the EWM system. Drive future performance by supporting the rollout of major EWM releases and updates, and training colleagues to develop their knowledge and understanding of EWM. Foster a culture of learning and development within the team. Collaborate with the INT EWM Team and Dublin Head Office (HO) to coordinate all RDC operational activities on-site.
What you'll do
Core System & Process Management (EWM/SAP)
- Monitoring, continuous development, and operational implementation of national and international logistics concepts for EWM
- Continuous analysis, quality assurance, and optimisation of logistics procedures, processes, concepts, and systems, and derivation of targeted measures
- Development of technical concepts, including translating and adapting international specifications to country-specific circumstances
- Support the regional logistics team with updates and general use of the logistics warehouse management system, SAP EWM
- Providing aftercare, support, and follow-up for the implementation of new projects and the optimisation of processes, concepts, and systems
Project & Rollout Execution
- Coordination and management of projects within one's own functional area.
- Validation and approval of implementation processes in the country
- Rollout support in regional areas, including the creation of country-specific procedures and roll-out plans in conjunction with interfaces
- Playing a fundamental part in the roll-out of system updates, new releases, and operational projects
- Conducting cost-benefit analysis for new projects and optimisations
Training & End-User Support
- Responsibility for creating, updating, and translating training documentation (e.g., user manual) and EWM training materials (role, task, and personnel-specific)
- Creating training plans and overseeing the training and successful upskilling of associates in Operational Logistics (continuous development of employees)
- Support and training for end-users
- As an expert point of contact, provide end-user support for technical and procedural issues
- Ensure full buy-in and engagement from Warehouse end-users and promote a culture of continuous knowledge and learning
Collaboration & Reporting
- Act as a central point of contact for interfaces regarding departmental tasks
- Resolve site-specific and wider system issues by working with IT, Head Office, and INT departments
- Co-ordination and point of contact for project ideas, proposals, and roll-outs for improvements concerning specific departmental matters from RDCs, other national departments, and Lidl Head Office
- Assure a proactive cross-departmental flow of information and exchange of knowledge between the region and Dublin Head Office Logistics
- Producing KPI assessments and project documents and support tools (e.g., for logistics cost management control and presentations for meetings and KPI achievement)
What you'll need
- Demonstrated confidence and capability to lead major EWM projects, releases, and updates, taking full ownership of tasks and deliverables
- Proactive approach to logistics, with the ability to consider the broader context, challenge established processes, and actively 'think outside the box' while fostering the same mindset in others
- Proven ability to project manage and support colleagues effectively through the change cycle, maintaining a strong team spirit and cooperative relationship with all national and international stakeholders
- Highly driven and results-oriented, committed to achieving defined project goals, with a quick aptitude for learning new ideas and concepts
- Strong communication and presentation skills, coupled with excellent organizational abilities to effectively manage your own workload with a keen eye for detail
- Existing knowledge and practical experience in logistics and warehousing operations is an advantage
