Your Tasks

As a Performance Apparel Engineer (m/f/d) for our Lidl-Trek team, you will help shape how performance apparel is technically designed, developed, and optimized to support racing at the highest level.
…more specifically, this means:

  • Act as the technical specialist for performance apparel, with responsibility for fabrics, garment construction, pattern making, and finishing techniques
  • Development and optimization of UCI-compliant race clothing in close collaboration with the Aerodynamics and Technical leads to meet specific racing conditions
  • Translation of aerodynamic test results and performance requirements into concrete technical apparel solutions and measurable performance improvements
  • Collaboration with technical apparel partners and textile manufacturers on prototypes and materials for continuous identification of the fastest and most advanced fabrics available
  • Management of rider fit processes and technical adjustments using digital tools as well as implementation of athlete feedback in specific product adaptations
  • Support of the apparel ordering and procurement process

Your Profile

  • Several years of professional experience in technical apparel design, performance
    sportswear, or textile engineering
  • Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and performance-driven design
  • Conceptual and technical thinking skills combined with a solution-oriented hands-on mentality during development and testing
  • Established relationships with fabric suppliers and textile manufacturers are an advantage
  • Experience with CLO or similar 3D garment software is a significant plus
  • Fluent in English, German is a bonus
  • Willingness to travel within Europe (approx. 10–25%)
