We are seeking a driven IT Retail Systems Consultant to join our team in our new, state-of-the-art Tolworth head office on a 13-month contract. Reporting to the Team Manager, you will manage the delivery and support of our Customer Solution portfolio—including POS, self-checkout, and payment systems. You will play a key role in driving innovation and ensuring an optimal, seamless shopping experience for our customers, utilising your technical expertise to support critical store systems.

What you'll do

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to capture requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.

Analyse project progress and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Ensure solution stability and quality across the product lifecycle.

Drive innovation across Lidl GB stores through new technology.

Provide expert 3rd-line system support and ensure timely technical resolutions.

Maintain documentation, including configurations, test scripts, and knowledge base articles.

Present updates to key stakeholders.

Potential to provide ‘out of hours’ on-call support (approx. 1 week in 6)**.

Occasional national and international travel.
What you'll need

Subject matter expertise in supporting POS, self-checkout, or card payment systems.

Experience with incident/change management in an ITIL environment.

Strong initiative, solution ownership, and ability to quickly learn new systems.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, serving as a liaison between technical and functional teams.

Project management experience.

Desirable: Experience with PowerShell, Python, AI Automation (Gemini), and Google Suite.

UK driving licence is beneficial.
