We’re looking for a driven and people-focused Talent Acquisition Manager to oversee a team of Talent Acquisition Administrators and Officers who will be responsible for hiring top Store talent across a cluster of Northern regions. You’ll be flexible to work 1 shift every fortnight for evenings, and 1 Saturday every quarter to support your stakeholders and team of recruiters.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine strategic thinking with operational excellence. You’ll guide the team, support their development, and ensure recruitment processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with our values.

What you'll do
- Manage a dedicated Talent Acquisition team focused on Store recruitment
- Set clear goals, delegate effectively, and support professional and personal development
- Champion Lidl’s leadership and behavioural values
- Conduct development conversations and identify progression opportunities
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process for your business stream
- Monitor KPIs and improve operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and legal regulations
- Act as the escalation point for candidate queries and complaints in your business stream
- Ensure smooth contracting and onboarding processes
- Support national recruitment projects as a subject matter expert
- Collaborate with our employer brand team to boost attraction campaigns
- Occasional travel within your regional cluster to deliver in-person recruitment expertise, provide support, and participate in strategic meetings
- Partner with Regional Heads of HR and Talent Acquisition colleagues to align workforce planning and recruitment forecasts for your regions
- You will work 1 shift every fortnight for evenings, and 1 Sat every quarter to support your team of recruiters
What you'll need
- Experienced background in In-house Talent Acquisition Management, with a proven track record of aligning recruitment strategy with long-term business objectives
- Experience in recruitment leadership, ideally in a retail or high-volume environments is beneficial
- You will possess a natural aptitude for leadership, with a genuine commitment to coaching, mentoring, and scaling high-performing recruitment teams
- You’ll lead with a data-centric mindset with the ability to analyse and act on recruitment metrics and KPI’s
- You will be an expert at Stakeholder Management, capable of building trust with leaders and acting as a credible advisor across the regions
- You’ll thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage complex, competing priorities without losing sight of the "big picture" strategy
- A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to travel to the North of the country to support your regions
