As a Desk Clerk at our Luton Equipment Centre, you’ll help your Department Manager with the daily desk and admin tasks that keep our operations moving like clockwork. From everyday processes and databases to preparing documents and staying up to date with Head Office and Regions, you’ll be the go-to support that helps everything run smoothly behind the scenes.
This is the perfect role for someone who’s organised, detail-focused, and ready to get stuck into our Lidl processes. If you like to solve problems, create structure, and build strong relationships with your team, then you’ll fit right in.

What you'll do
- Keep our desk processes moving smoothly – from documents and databases to inboxes and filing
- Support the Department Manager with day-to-day admin and office tasks
- Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams, Head Office, and Regional colleagues to keep information flowing and mitigate issues
- Prepare and check key documents, including delivery paperwork, picklists, stock lists and invoices
- Spot and investigate differences in orders or deliveries, helping to solve problems quickly and accurately
What you'll need
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using IT systems and databases (training will be provided)
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
- Great communication skills to build effective relationships across our teams
- Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to manage a busy workload
